4/24/2026 -Marenostrum Fuengirola will open, this weekend, its 2026 edition with the national return of ‘El Último de la Fila’. The inaugural concert, which will be held this Saturday, April 25, will begin what will be the eleventh edition, with more than 100 artists scheduled on the Unicaja and Fundación Unicaja stages. This new impulse comes after an upward trajectory that has led the venue to exceed one million attendees – in total in all its stages – and to generate an economic impact of 66 million euros in 2025 on the Costa del Sol.
The Marenostrum Fuengirola venue itself today hosted the press conference for the start of its eleventh edition, in an event that was attended by the mayor of Fuengirola, Ana Mula, as well as representatives of Unicaja, Repsol, Fundación Unicaja and Turismo Costa del Sol, the main collaborating entities of the cycle.
During her speech, the councilor highlighted that “Marenostrum Fuengirola is today one of the best examples of how culture can transform a city, generate opportunities and project our image internationally. This eleventh edition once again places the city among the great outdoor music venues, with a top-level proposal and a sustainable and successful management model.”
The 2026 edition has more than forty days of concerts scheduled, will bring together more than 100 national and international artists and expects to exceed 240,000 attendees. As of today, the series already has more than 210,000 tickets sold and six events with sold-out dates.
Born in 2016 as a strategic commitment by the Fuengirola City Council to position the city on the international live music circuit, the series celebrates its eleventh season this summer, becoming one of the most unique cultural venues in Europe. Located at the foot of Sohail Castle and next to the sea, the space offers a unique experience in which music coexists with historical heritage and the Mediterranean environment.
This edition’s poster brings together some of the most prominent figures on the current music scene, such as Alejandro Fernández, Lola Índigo, Aitana and Dani Martín, along with international names such as Sting, as well as national references such as Pablo Alborán or Pablo López. Among the great milestones are the inaugural concert of ‘El Último de la Fila’, the return of Amaia Montero with ‘La Oreja de Van Gogh’, the reunion of ‘Los Delinqüentes’, the closing of Alejandro Sanz’s tour or the first joint tour of Romeo Santos and Prince Royce.
The program is completed with thematic festivals that expand the cultural offering throughout the summer, such as Fulanita Fest, Sun and Thunder, Vibras or Cochera Comedy.
Likewise, Marenostrum Fuengirola has also generated sustainable management badges. In 2024 it obtained the AENOR Carbon Footprint Certificate, after implementing a comprehensive environmental strategy. Along these lines, the collaboration with Repsol will significantly reduce CO₂ emissions through the use of 100% renewable fuels, while other entities such as Volvo Vypsa, Gestagua or the Commonwealth reinforce the environmental commitment of the cycle. Likewise, Unicaja and the Unicaja Foundation maintain their support for the project, promoting both culture and its social dimension, facilitating access to live music for groups and associations.
