The Fuengirola City Council reminds that the deadline to renew places in municipal schools and sports activities ends on July 31
As of today, 65% of users have already completed the process for the next course, which can be done online or in person, while new applications can be submitted starting August 5
07/24/2026.- The Sports Councilor of the Fuengirola City Council, Julio Rodríguez, recalled today that the deadline to renew the places in schools and municipal sports activities for the 2026/2027 academic year ends on July 31. The mayor has encouraged users who have not yet completed this procedure to do so as soon as possible, preferably electronically, to avoid travel and waiting.
“We want to remind all users that there is still time to renew their place until July 31. It is a very simple procedure that they can carry out comfortably from home through the Department of Sports website or through the specific Sports access enabled in the Citizen Card app, although in-person attention is also still available at the municipal sports facilities on Miguel Bueno Street for those who need it,” explained Rodríguez, who added that all users of activities at the Santa Fe de Los Boliches complex, “must carry out the face-to-face renovation in the Sports area offices of the Elola municipal complex.”
In this sense, the municipal official has indicated that the renovation process is registering an excellent response from users. “So far, 65% of subscribers have already renewed their place, which means close to 2,900 residents who have ensured their participation in sports activities for the next year. In addition, of them, around 1,100 have completed the process online, a fact that shows that more and more people are opting for this route, which is much faster and more comfortable,” he highlighted.
The mayor has insisted on the convenience of using telematic channels. “From the Department we continue to encourage all users to carry out these procedures online to avoid queues and speed up the process. We have made very simple tools available to residents that allow them to complete the process in just a few minutes,” he indicated.
To facilitate renewals, the Sports area has prepared a video tutorial that explains step by step how to carry out the procedure, available at the following link: https://youtube.com/shorts/sGtddUKRDhw?feature=shared
On the other hand, Julio Rodríguez has reported that starting next August 5, the deadline will open to request new places in municipal schools and sports activities.
“We encourage all people who want to join our activities for the first time not to wait until the last minute and to request their username and password now by sending an email to sports@fuengirola.org. In this way, when the deadline opens on the 5th they will be able to register immediately and without setbacks,” he noted.
Likewise, the councilor recalled that new users also have a specific video tutorial to learn about the registration procedure, accessible at the following link: https://youtube.com/shorts/JzMRl0Mzwtc?is=DNmnPYn1JIq5R6af
In addition, new registrations can be formalized through the platform enabled by the Department of Sports: https://deportesfuengirola.i2a.es/CronosWeb/Login
Finally, Rodríguez has reiterated the recommendation to use telematic channels. “Our goal is to offer an increasingly agile and comfortable service to residents. That is why we insist that they carry out both renewals and new registrations online, avoiding waits and making it easier for everyone to access municipal sports activities in the simplest way possible,” he concluded.
