On August 4, Fuengirola will host a joint concert by the Municipal Music Band and the Stereo80 group in the Plaza de España
The event, free of charge, will begin at 9:00 p.m. and will offer a tour of the greatest hits of rock and international pop-rock of the 80s.07/30/2026. The Councilor for Culture of the Fuengirola City Council, Rodrigo Romero, has today presented a new cultural proposal that will unite the Fuengirola Municipal Music Band and the Stereo80 group on stage in a special concert that will take place on August 4, at 9:00 p.m., in the Plaza de España. The director of the municipal musical group, Alfredo Alarcón, and the vocalist of the local group, Claudio Pantaleón, also participated in the presentation.
The performance will be free and open to the public and will offer an original fusion between banda music and some of the great rock and international pop-rock anthems of the 80s, in a show designed to be enjoyed by the family and for audiences of all ages, the councilor has advanced, who during his speech has highlighted the work carried out by the Fuengirola Municipal Music Band and the artistic quality of all its members.
“The Municipal Music Band is one of the great cultural references of our city and a source of pride for all Fuengirola residents. Its members carry out extraordinary work throughout the year and once again demonstrate their versatility and ability to undertake innovative projects of high artistic level. We are convinced that this concert will be an unforgettable moment for all attendees and that the result of this collaboration will be exceptional.”
The councilor has also highlighted the City Council’s commitment to programming quality cultural activities and has encouraged neighbors and visitors to enjoy this unique musical proposal.
For his part, Alfredo Alarcón has pointed out that the group has extensive experience accompanying artists and projects of different musical styles throughout its career. “The Municipal Band has had the pleasure of collaborating with countless artists over all these years, but on this occasion there is a special excitement about sharing the stage with a local group as beloved as Stereo80. From the first moment there has been a magnificent harmony between both groups and we believe that this concert will be an important event that will remain in the memories of many people. We hope it will be a success.”
Stereo80 is a band specialized in reviving the greatest hits that marked the golden age of rock and Anglo-Saxon pop-rock of the 80s, with a repertoire that includes songs by groups and artists as renowned as Kiss, Europe, Guns N’ Roses, A-ha, U2, Dire Straits, Bon Jovi, Depeche Mode, Pink Floyd, Whitesnake, Bryan Adams, AC/DC, Van Halen, Toto or Queen, among others.
The vocalist of the group wanted to publicly thank the Municipal Music Band for its involvement in this project. “We are convinced that the public will really enjoy this concert. We want to thank the Municipal Band for its collaboration, passion and enthusiasm to make this initiative possible. Behind this show there are many hours of work and rehearsals, and we really want to share this moment with all the neighbors and visitors. In this way, the Plaza de España will become the scene next Tuesday, August 4, of a unique musical proposal that will unite the strength of 80s rock with the rich sound of a great music band.
