The Fuengirola City Council presents its August cultural program with a wide range of free offers for all audiences

The city continues to strengthen its tourist attraction with a complete agenda of exhibitions, concerts, workshops and shows that complement the sun and beach offer.

07/28/2026.- The Fuengirola City Council, through the Culture Area, today presented the cultural programming for the month of August, a proposal that once again turns the city into a benchmark for leisure and culture during the summer season. The agenda includes exhibitions, concerts, an archeology workshop for the little ones and a magic show, all of them with free admission and designed to reach audiences of all ages.

The responsible councilor, Rodrigo Romero, has been in charge of announcing the program for this month, highlighting that “from the Government team we continue to support a quality cultural offer, varied and accessible to all. We want both Fuengirola residents and those who visit us during the summer to find in our city a leisure alternative that complements our magnificent sun and beach and sports offer.”

In this sense, the mayor has pointed out that “Fuengirola is a lively city all year round, but especially in summer, when many people choose our destination to enjoy their holidays. To this privileged tourist offer we add an intense cultural program that allows you to enjoy music, art, heritage and outdoor entertainment, consolidating Fuengirola as an increasingly complete and attractive destination.”

The program starts with two interesting exhibitions. Until August 28, the Manuel Delgado Perea House of Culture hosts the photographic exhibition ‘Guadalquivires’, with works by Mercedes Higuero, Nuria Murillo and Paco Negre, which can be visited from Monday to Friday in the morning and afternoon. For its part, the City Museum is hosting the ‘Olympic Legends’ exhibition until August 26, organized by the Department of Sports, a proposal that brings visitors closer to some of the most notable episodes in the history of Olympics.

The youngest will also have a prominent space in the programming thanks to the summer archeology workshop, aimed at children between 7 and 14 years old. The activity, organized in collaboration with Menia Restauración and Arqueorutas, will take place between August 4 and 7 at the Roman site Finca del Secretariat and will allow participants to discover in a practical way the archaeological heritage of the city.

As usual during the summer, music will once again be the protagonist of the August nights with a series of free concerts that will be held at 9:00 p.m. in different outdoor spaces. The programming will begin on the 4th in the Plaza de España with the ‘Rock Night’, starring the Municipal Music Band and the group Stereo80. Subsequently, the Parque de España will host a series of performances that will cover different musical styles, from the great Spanish pop hits of the eighties with Deskarria2 to a concert dedicated to Spanish music performed by the Municipal Music Band. The singer-songwriter María Ruiz will also perform on this stage, a jazz concert by the Municipal Band, the show ‘Flamenco Fusión’ by the Ábrego group and, to close the month, the magic show ‘Un Show Genial’, by Magic Jose.

In addition, from August 18 to October 18, the Paseo Marítimo will host the exhibition ‘Bioparc Fuengirola, 25 years creating together the best zoo in the world’, an open-air exhibition that will allow you to learn about the evolution of one of the main tourist and environmental references of the municipality.

Romero has encouraged neighbors and visitors to participate in the different scheduled activities, remembering that “we have designed a very diverse program so that anyone, regardless of their age or tastes, can find a cultural proposal of interest.”
