Fuengirola presents the new official image of the International Country Fair 2026, a historic edition that celebrates its 30th anniversary
Local artist D. Darko signs the work that symbolizes the cultural diversity of the event, which will be held from April 29 to May 3 at the fairgrounds
3/30/2026 – The International Country Fair has a new official image. It is a work by local artist D. Darko, which commemorates the 30th editions of the FIP. This design will serve as a promotion for the event, which will be held from April 29 to May 3 at the fairgrounds.
The International Fair of the Countries (FIP) reaches a round figure in 2026 with the celebration of its thirtieth edition, consolidating itself as one of the most emblematic events in Fuengirola’s festive calendar. For five days, the fairgrounds will once again become a multicultural meeting point where residents and visitors will be able to “go around the world” without leaving the city.
The mayor of Fuengirola, Ana Mula, has highlighted the relevance of this special edition, underlining that “the great festival of cultures” deserved a poster worthy of its history. To do this, the City Council has trusted the local plastic artist Manuel Díaz, known as D. Darko, whose proposal reflects the essence of the event.
“The International Country Fair, which has become a great reference at a national and international level, will celebrate a very special edition on the occasion of its 30th anniversary. Therefore, we wanted to commemorate this anniversary with a unique image, which represents the essence and roots of this multicultural festival. Darko has done a fantastic job, offering us an exceptional image,” said Ana Mula.
The creative process, as the artist himself has explained, took approximately one month, from receiving the commission to the final production of the work. D. Darko has documented all the phases of making the poster, subsequently sharing this journey on his social networks, thus bringing his work closer to the public.
The work stands out for the application of the author’s characteristic “emotional geometry”, combining traditional techniques such as airbrush and Letraset. The result is a vibrant image that integrates the flags of the participating countries, symbolizing the diversity and spirit of coexistence that defines the FIP.
The poster, which is already in distribution, will be the main promotional tool for this significant edition, also remaining as a representative piece of the history of the International Country Fair in its 30th anniversary.
