The great musical cycle on the Costa del Sol has exceeded one million attendees in its first ten years and in the 2025 edition it generated an economic impact of 66 million euros. In 2026 it will bring together the greatest figures of the national and international music scene: From Romeo Santos and Prince Royce, Alejandro Sanz or Lola Índigo, to Sting, Aitana, El Último de la Fila, Dani Martín, Nicky Jam, Pablo Alborán or Pablo López
5/22/2026 – Marenostrum Fuengirola is positioned in 2026 as one of the great success stories of live music in outdoor stages linked to the destination. The cycle, which will celebrate its eleventh edition this summer, presents a program of forty-six days of shows, more than 100 artists on both stages, and a forecast of 250,000 attendees, confirming its relevance as a cultural, tourist and economic engine of the Costa del Sol.
Born in 2016 as a strategic commitment by the Fuengirola City Council to project the city on the international circuit of music and major events, Marenostrum Fuengirola has established itself, a decade later, as one of the most unique and recognizable cultural venues in Europe. The Fuengirola venue fuses music and culture in a unique and unparalleled enclave such as the shore of the Mediterranean Sea on the Unicaja stage and sheltered from the Sohail Castle, the Unicaja Foundation stage, one of the symbols of the Malaga province.

Marenostrum Fuengirola has officially presented the programming for its eleventh season, an edition that will have forty-six days of shows already announced, more than 100 national and international artists and more than 230,000 tickets sold to date. The 2026 edition has started four of the first six events held to date, with all tickets sold out: El Último de la Fila; Fito & Fitipaldis; Camela; and Raule, which will take place this Saturday at the castle. In addition, there are five other great sold-out concerts: Dani Martín, Aitana, La Oreja de Van Gogh, La Reina del Flow and Alejandro Sanz.
The new season will bring together some of the most influential figures on the current music scene. From Alejandro Sanz to Lola Índigo, Aitana or Dani Martín, passing through international names like Sting, and essential references on the national scene like Pablo Alborán or Pablo López. A transversal and ambitious poster that reinforces Marenostrum Fuengirola’s ability to attract diverse audiences of different generations.
Among the great milestones of this edition are the inaugural concert of the new El Último de la Fila tour after thirty years without performing together; the stop of La Oreja de Van Gogh with the return of Amaia as vocalist; the long-awaited reunion of Los Delinqüentes; or the first joint tour of Romeo Santos and Prince Royce, one of the international events of the year.
The versatility of the venue also allows it to host thematic festivals that expand the cultural offer and consolidate Fuengirola as a musical destination throughout the summer. Events such as Fulanita Fest return, with Fangoria, Natalia Lacunza and Chanel; Sun and Thunder, an international heavy metal benchmark with special shows such as Avantasia’s only concert in Spain; or Cochera Comedy, with Ignatius, Salva Reina, Manu Sánchez and El Monaguillo.
Economic engine and tourist positioning tool
Beyond programming, Marenostrum Fuengirola has become a model of sustainable cultural management. Since 2024, it has become the first venue in Spain to obtain the AENOR Carbon Footprint Certificate, the result of a transversal environmental strategy applied to all areas of the project, obtaining it, again, last season. To date, the cycle has hosted more than 280 events, receiving more than one million officially certified attendees, generating an economic impact that in 2025 reached 66 million euros, according to the report carried out by Relevance Marketing SL, with a direct effect on employment, hospitality and the local tourism fabric.
In its eleventh edition, forecasts point to an attendance of more than 250,000 spectators, consolidating Marenostrum Fuengirola as one of the great open-air musical stages in southern Europe and as a key element in the tourist and cultural positioning strategy of the Costa del Sol.
Throughout its history, more than 500 top-level artists have performed on the venue’s stages, including Jennifer López, Alejandro Sanz, Manuel Carrasco, Ricky Martin, Juan Luis Guerra, Bob Dylan, Robbie Williams, Rod Stewart, Santana, Rainbow, Marc Anthony, Scorpions, Maluma, Bizarrap, Aventura, Maná, Macklemore and Louis Tomlinson, who chose Fuengirola to celebrate his The Away From Home Festival in 2022.
