The Fuengirola City Council encourages local social entities to apply for the Provincial Council’s call for aid to the third sector
Those who are based in the city but also carry out their work in municipalities with less than 20,000 inhabitants are eligible. The application submission period will be open until June 1
5/22/2026 – The Fuengirola City Council encourages the municipality’s social entities to participate in the call for aid to the third sector that has been launched by the Malaga Provincial Council and which has a financial allocation of 1,696,000 euros. The provincial deputy for Third Sector and International Cooperation and councilor of Fuengirola, Francisco José Martín, today presented this initiative aimed at strengthening the associative fabric.
“Last Monday, the bases of the Malaga Provincial Council’s line of subsidies aimed at the third sector were published in the Official Gazette of the Province, endowed with a financial amount of 1,696,000 euros, doubling the amount of the previous call,” indicated Martín, pointing out that “the social entities of the province can opt for this aid but to do so they must necessarily work in municipalities of less than 20,000 inhabitants.”
In this sense, the provincial deputy has indicated that “entities established in other larger cities, such as Fuengirola, can opt for this line of subsidies as long as their project states that they also carry out their activity in smaller municipalities.”
During his speech, Francisco José Martín highlighted that the call includes two lines of help: for the development of social projects in the smallest towns in the province and for the improvement of the means necessary for entities to carry out their work.
On the one hand, for the development of intervention and social action projects linked to the scope of action of social entities, each beneficiary entity can obtain a maximum aid of 20,000 euros.
And, on the other hand, there is another line of aid, endowed with 370,000 euros, intended for investments in equipment and acquisition or adaptation of vehicles. If it is an investment in equipment, the maximum amount per entity will be 18,000 euros. And if the aid is requested for the purchase or adaptation of the entity’s vehicles, the maximum amount will be 40,000 euros.
