Work begins to improve the Los Núcleos urbanization, in the Fuengirola Fairgrounds
The City Council has renewed the green areas and urban furniture in this environment. The Housing and Rehabilitation Agency of the Junta de Andalucía, which is the majority owner of the building, is carrying out renovation works in different common areas.
4/17/2026 – Work has already begun to improve the Los Núcleos urbanization, in the Fuengirola Fairgrounds. The mayor Ana Mula and the delegate of Development, Territorial Articulation and Housing of the Junta de Andalucía in Malaga, María Rosa Morales, have visited the work that this Administration, as the majority owner of this group of homes, is carrying out in the building.
In this way, this rehabilitation intervention, which has a budget of 481,914.01 euros, consists of repairing existing defects in the common areas located on the roof and in various parts of the garage with the aim of keeping them in optimal safety conditions. The company Glesa has been awarded these tasks, which have a period of three months.

For its part, as Mula has highlighted, the City Council has also acted in the surroundings of this residential complex. Specifically, in Las Palmeras park, where a team from the Urban Ecology Area has renovated the existing green areas, as well as its urban furniture.
Among the main actions carried out, the remodeling of the central planter stands out, where the covering of the circular bench – previously painted in white – has been replaced with limestone, a material that is more resistant to humidity and which significantly improves the aesthetics of the complex.
Likewise, different varieties of palm trees have been planted in the flower beds distributed throughout the square, organized in plant islands that provide greater landscape richness to the environment. Added to this is the installation of a new irrigation system that will favor the maintenance and growth of green areas.
The work has also included painting and fine-tuning the street furniture, both wrought iron benches and streetlights, contributing to a renewed and more careful image of the space.
