The Fuengirola City Council begins the transfer to the Board of a municipal plot for a 24 Hour Emergency Center
The mayor gave an account, in the plenary session held today, of how the process is progressing, which requires a series of prior steps to be able to carry out the transfer of the land. After the public exhibition period in the Official Gazette of the Province, the autonomous Administration will receive ownership of the plot and will be able to begin bidding for the project and the work.
3/25/2026 – The Fuengirola City Council has begun the transfer to the Board of a municipal plot for a 24 Hour Emergency Center. This was announced by Mayor Ana Mula in the ‘Requests and Questions’ session, who described the steps that the City Council has followed after the meeting she held with the Minister of Health, Antonio Sanz, on February 26.
At this meeting, the municipal and regional officials agreed that the City Council would transfer to the Junta de Andalucía a plot on Santa Amalia Avenue, with an area of 1,101.75 square meters, for the construction of an Emergency Center, which is technically called a Primary Care Emergency Service (SUAP).
In this way, on March 4, the councilor signed a decree initiating the transfer file. To do this, the first step is to segregate the plot from the parent farm from which it comes. After carrying out several procedures related to this work, on Monday, March 23, this administrative act was published in the Official Gazette of the Province, starting the corresponding public information period for 20 business days. This period will end on April 22.
When this happens, the next thing will be to submit the file to the Municipal Plenary Session, since it is a procedure that must be approved by the absolute majority of said body.
Once the transfer is approved, the Plenary Agreement will be sent to the Andalusian Health Service for acceptance by its competent body and, then, the transfer will be formalized in a public deed or administrative document.
In another matter, today’s plenary session has unanimously approved the use of a public domain plot of social equipment for the construction of Municipal Support Housing.
