The Fuengirola City Council enables more than 200 parking spaces at the Santa Fe-Antonio Basilio Stadium in Los Boliches in July and August

The demolition works on the Los Boliches Complex will begin in September, and in the meantime, the City Council has prepared the surface of the soccer field for vehicle parking. It will cost two euros per day and will be managed by the Association of the Disabled of Malaga (ADISMA)

7/15/2026 – Fuengirola City Council has enabled more than 200 parking spaces at the Santa Fe-Antonio Basilio Stadium in Los Boliches during the months of July and August. The mayor Ana Mula, together with the deputy mayor of the neighborhood, Rosa Ana Bravo, the councilors of Social Welfare, Cristina Bornao, and of the Internal Regime, María Hernández, and the president of the Association of the Disabled of Malaga (ADISMA), Salvador Paz, have announced this novelty that will offer parking to residents and visitors on a temporary basis, while the demolition works on the Los Boliches Complex begin.

“The drafting work on the Los Boliches Complex project has begun with the geotechnical studies and necessary tastings to be able to undertake this planning work. This made it necessary to close the sports facilities. The demolition works will not begin until September, so, in the meantime, we have decided to enable its surface so that the surrounding residents and visitors can use it as parking coinciding with the months of greatest influx, and therefore, the greatest difficulty in finding a place to leave the car,” he said. the councilor explained.

In this way, the distribution of spaces on the Santa Fe-Antonio Basilio playing field until now has led to the creation of just over 200 seats. The entrance to it will be through the door on Las Salinas Avenue, while the exit will be through the parallel Antonio Machado Street.

The management of this space will be the responsibility of ADISMA and will cost two euros per day per vehicle. This amount will be allocated entirely to the social work of this group, whose representative has thanked the City Council for this gesture.

On the other hand, Mula recalled that the creation of the Los Boliches Complex is the largest municipal investment in public infrastructure in the history of the city. With a budget of nearly 50 million euros, it contemplates the creation of a mega underground parking lot with 1,070 spaces, a new Santa Fe-Antonio Basilio stadium – with more sports spaces than the current ones – as well as a new Court with independent entrance and access to the rest of the building.

“With this action, in Los Boliches for all of Fuengirola, we respond to three urgent needs of our city: the lack of parking, creating more and better sports facilities and a new judicial headquarters in line with a city of the level of Fuengirola. We are very excited and we work in coordination with the winning UTE to scrupulously meet the deadlines,” concluded Ana Mula.
