7/6/2026 – The Peace Palace of Fuengirola will be the scene this Friday, July 10, at 9:00 p.m., of the traditional end-of-year show of the ‘Azabache’ Flamenco School, directed by Juan Antonio Pérez. This was announced this morning by the Councilor for Festivals and Traditions, Isabel Moreno, and the academy teacher, María Espinosa, who have invited neighbors and visitors to enjoy a gala that will once again bring together on stage the talent and work developed by the students throughout the course.

Tickets have a price/donation of 5 euros, and can be purchased in advance at the ‘Azabache’ Flamenco School itself, located in Plaza de la Hispanidad, or on the day of the show at the Palacio de la Paz box office, starting at 8:00 p.m.

«With the arrival of summer, the different dance academies of our city celebrate their end-of-year festivals at the Peace Palace, offering the public the result of the effort and dedication of students and teachers throughout the year. On this occasion it will be the ‘Azabache’ Flamenco School that will delight us with a show full of art, feeling and tradition,” highlighted Isabel Moreno, who has encouraged the people of Fuengirola to attend this event.

For her part, María Espinosa explained that the show will be structured in different flamenco paintings, each one with its own identity and careful staging. «This year we have prepared several very special proposals. We will pay tribute to Federico García Lorca with a staging inspired by Los Peregrinitos; We will also dedicate a painting to the verdiales of the Montes de Málaga and, as a novelty, we will offer a tribute to the numerous Argentine students who are part of our school, to bring them closer to their roots and their culture,” he noted.

The gala will also feature live music, with Manuel ‘El Yunque’ on vocals and guitar, as well as the special collaboration of singer Mary van der Lent, recently a participant in the Tierra de Talento program.

The school’s teachers Antonio Martín, Rosa Victoria Ramírez, Luz Caballero, Carmen Jiménez and María Espinosa will also participate on stage, under the artistic direction of Juan Antonio Pérez ‘Azabache’.
