6/22/2026 – The Elola Sports Complex in Fuengirola will host a badminton and multisport campus this summer aimed at children and young people between 8 and 18 years old. The initiative, organized by the Sohail Badminton Club with the collaboration of the Fuengirola City Council, will be held on June 24, 25, 26, 29 and 30, from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m., with the possibility of a morning classroom.
The Councilor for Sports, Julio Rodríguez, and the representative of the Sohail Badminton Club, Esther Sanz, presented this morning this activity, which adds to the wide range of sports and leisure activities that take place in the city during the summer period.
“We are very satisfied to continue expanding the sports offer for our young people during the summer. These types of initiatives are possible thanks to the magnificent work carried out by the city’s sports clubs, which collaborate closely with the City Council to offer healthy, educational and fun alternatives to families once the school year ends,” Rodríguez highlighted.
In this sense, the mayor has pointed out that this campus responds to a demand from many families and is an opportunity for participants to learn about and practice badminton, in addition to enjoying other sports and recreational activities.
For her part, Esther Sanz explained that the program will combine badminton sessions with multi-sport activities, board games and craft workshops. In addition, it will have groups adapted for both beginners and players who wish to perfect their technique through technical activities.
“The campus is open to all children and young people between 8 and 18 years old, regardless of their level. We want participants to enjoy sports and spend some fun days in an atmosphere of coexistence and camaraderie,” he noted.
