The Fuengirola City Council invites young people to participate in the II Summer Soccer 7 Tournament of the Youth Area


It will be played in the cadet and youth categories and team registrations must be made in person at the Youth Department. The Preliminary Phase will take place during the month of July at the Elola Sports Complex and the Final Phase will be held on August 12 at Parque de La Loma, coinciding with International Youth Day

4/6/2026 – Fuengirola City Council has opened the registration period to participate in the second edition of the 7-a-side Summer Football Tournament organized by the Youth Department. This was announced today by the councilor responsible for the area, Isaac Vargas, who highlighted that the initiative returns this year with important new features to expand participation and encourage sports practice amongand the young people of the city.

“From the Department of Youth we continue to support activities that promote healthy lifestyle habits and offer attractive leisure alternatives for our young people. After the excellent reception of the first edition, we are launching this tournament again with the aim of reaching a greater number of participants,” said Vargas.

As the main novelty, the competition will be divided into two categories: cadet and youth. Young people born in 2011 and 2012 may participate in the first, while the youth category will be for those born between 2008 and 2010.

The regular phase of the tournament will take place throughout the month of July at the Elola Sports Complex. The best classified teams will later compete in the semifinals and the grand final, which will be held on August 12 at the Gran Parque de La Loma, coinciding with the commemoration of International Youth Day.

“In addition to promoting physical activity, this tournament helps transmit fundamental values ​​such as camaraderie, respect, effort and teamwork. We want to encourage all young people to gather their friends, form their teams and enjoy a sporting experience that combines competition, coexistence and fun,” indicated the mayor.

Registration is now open and can be formalized in person at the Youth Department, located in the Colores building, in the morning and also on Mondays from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Regarding the requirements to participate, the mayor has indicated that at least one representative of the team must go in person to the Youth Department to present the list of participants, providing the full name, ID and date of birth of each of them. Each team may be made up of a minimum of 10 players and a maximum of 14. In addition, the majority of its members must be registered in Fuengirola.

Finally, Vargas has shown his confidence that this second edition will once again register a large participation and has recalled that those who wish to obtain more information can contact the Youth Department by calling 952 46 18 42.
