1/6/2026 – The Peace Palace of Fuengirola will be the scene next Friday, June 5, of the show ‘Dances of Don Quixote’ represented as an end-of-year work by the classical ballet workshop of the Culture Area. This was announced this morning by the Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, and the workshop teacher, Diana Jurado, who have indicated that the work will begin at 8:00 p.m. and that admission will be free until the capacity of the cultural venue is reached.

“This Friday we will have a unique show at the Peace Palace, the result of the fantastic work that is done in the ballet workshop of the House of Culture. An end-of-year performance that is always a true delight,” said Romero, noting that “it is a magnificent opportunity to see the work they develop in the workshop during the year and for the little ones in the house to get to know it and be encouraged to learn from it for the next year.”

For her part, Diana Jurado has indicated that “this year we repeat the Danzas de Don Quixote show after last year’s success. In this way, although there will be new developments compared to last year’s performance, we will no longer have the surprise factor and the importance of technique will be even greater. Repetition is something constant in classical dance and is essential for learning.”

In this sense, the teacher pointed out that “this year more than 90 students of all levels and ages will participate and, like every year, we are very nervous and eager to put on stage everything we learned during the course.”

To conclude, Jurado has encouraged people to attend the Peace Palace this Friday to enjoy the Dances of Don Quixote, “because it is a fantastic show for those who like dance and a good opportunity to learn about the work we do in the workshop and to encourage them to sign up next year.”
