The City Council encourages Fuengirola clubs to apply for Provincial Council subsidies on Sports
The supramunicipal entity has opened the aid line aimed at Malaga sports entities, worth 400,000 euros, which will be active until June 9
1/6/2026 – The Fuengirola City Council encourages the city’s sports clubs to apply for subsidies from the Malaga Provincial Council in matters of Sports. This was stated by the provincial deputy and councilor in the Fuengirola City Council, Francisco José Martín, who explained that the supra-municipal entity has opened an aid line worth 400,000 euros that will be active until June 9.
“The Malaga Provincial Council has launched a new line of subsidies from the Sports Area that is aimed at sports clubs in the province and that can reach up to 5.00 euros for each entity,” explained Martín, pointing out that the bases of the call are published in the Official Gazette of the Province of Malaga on May 26, 2026.
This is a non-competitive call for applications that can be requested until next June 9 and that can be justified with expenses already issued between July 31, 2025 and May 26, 2026. “The Department of Sports has already sent all the necessary information to the Fuengirola clubs so that they can qualify for these aid,” said Martín.
These aid are aimed at federations, confederations, sports clubs and sports associations and are intended to finance the current expenses incurred by these entities. Expenses such as the rental of non-own sports facilities in which the activity is carried out, transportation and accommodation for participation in competitive sports activity, as well as expenses on sports equipment (non-textile), insurance premiums, federation expenses and salary costs derived from the hiring of technicians, coaches, monitors or similar figures, will be eligible for subsidies.
“The deadline to submit applications ends on June 9 and we hope that all the clubs in our city apply for this call, can apply for this subsidy and benefit from this line of aid,” concluded the provincial representative.
