Fuengirola will host the Final Four for the title of the National Women’s Basketball League

5/11/2026 – The Juan Gómez Juanito pavilion in Fuengirola will host, from May 15 to 17, the Final Four for the title of the National Women’s Basketball League, a top-level sporting event that will feature the participation of CB Salliver Fuengirola – Hotel Higuerón as the host team.
The official presentation of the tournament included the participation of the Sports Councilor of the Fuengirola City Council, Julio Rodríguez; the president of the Andalusian Basketball Federation, Antonio de Torres; the president of the Malaga Basketball Federation, Ricardo Bandrés; and the president of the Salliver Basketball Club, Fernando Revillas.
During the event, Julio Rodríguez highlighted the importance of hosting a competition of this nature for the city. “The Final Phase of the National League, with the participation of one of our city’s teams like CB Salliver, is a very special event for us and one that we face with great enthusiasm,” said the mayor, who added that “I am convinced that the Juanito pavilion will present a magnificent atmosphere throughout the weekend to support our players.”
For his part, Ricardo Bandrés wished “the best sporting results for CB Salliver” and encouraged the players “to enjoy this great opportunity.” “Last year they were very close to achieving the goal and this year I am sure they will be able to achieve it,” he noted.
Along the same lines, Fernando Revillas has invited “all basketball fans to enjoy a great sporting spectacle this weekend.” In addition, he has valued “the commitment of the players and the great work done by the coaching staff during recent seasons.”
Finally, Antonio de Torres has sent a message of support to the four participating teams and has especially encouraged the Fuengirola team “to fight for the title”, ensuring that “Fuengirola will once again become a reference for Andalusian basketball during these days.”
Matches and schedules
The competition will start on Thursday, May 15, with the matches between Logística Transloyma Huelva CBC Moguer and Xerez Club Deportivo, at 6:00 p.m., and Clínica Angular Málaga Basket against CB Salliver Fuengirola – Hotel Higuerón, at 8:00 p.m.
The second day will be held on Friday, May 16. Clínica Angular Málaga Basket will face Xerez Club Deportivo at 5:00 p.m., while Logística Transloyma Huelva CBC Moguer will play against CB Salliver Fuengirola – Hotel Higuerón at 7:00 p.m.
The final phase will conclude on Saturday, May 17, in the morning, with the matches between Clínica Angular Málaga Basket and Logística Transloyma Huelva CBC Moguer, at 10:30 a.m., and between CB Salliver Fuengirola – Hotel Higuerón and Xerez Club Deportivo, scheduled for 12:30 p.m.
