The Fuengirola City Council promotes the digital training of businesswomen with a workshop on cybersecurity and artificial intelligence
The initiative, organized by the Equality Area, will be held from April 28 to May 7 at the Mayor’s Office of El Boquetillo and will offer practical tools to improve business competitiveness
4/16/2026 – The Councilor for Families, Equality and Social Welfare of the Fuengirola City Council, Cristina Bornao, today presented an introductory workshop to cybersecurity and artificial intelligence, aimed at businesswomen and entrepreneurs in the city, which will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, from April 28 to May 7, from 9:30 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., at the facilities of the Tenencia de Mayor’s Office of El Boquetillo.
“It is a training action, included in the quarterly programming of the Equality Area, but focused on businesswomen and entrepreneurs in our municipality,” said Bornao, pointing out that its objective is to offer useful tools that contribute to optimizing business activity in an increasingly digitalized and demanding environment.
The workshop, face-to-face and with a total duration of 10 hours, will be developed in two modules. The first will focus on cybersecurity, addressing key aspects such as the identification of digital threats – including phishing, malware or social engineering -, data protection and the adoption of good practices in the use of devices and networks. Fundamental knowledge to prevent economic losses and protect business reputation.
On the other hand, the artificial intelligence module will allow participants to delve into the use of innovative tools applied to the business field, exploring their potential in automating processes, improving productivity and decision making, always from an ethical and responsible perspective.
The methodology will be eminently practical, combining theoretical content with exercises applied to real cases, so that attendees can transfer what they have learned to their daily professional life.
