3/23/2026 – The Fuengirola City Council has made pocket guides available to residents with all the information about Holy Week 2026, prepared in collaboration with the Group of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods of the city. This was announced today by the Councilor for Festivals and Traditions, Isabel Moreno, and the president of the aforementioned Group, Lidia Vega, who explained that this publication includes all the details (routes, schedules, masses, transfers…) so that neighbors and visitors do not miss any details of the Fuengirola Passion Week.

The copies can now be obtained in the municipal buildings, the Brotherhood Houses and in the four parishes of the town. The programming is now available, in digital format, on the web: https://www.fuengirola.es/wp-content/uploads/2026/03/Programa-Semana-Santa-Fuengirola-2026.pdf

“Holy Week is approaching, we are in the middle of Lent and all the transfers and activities prior to this celebration organized by the Group of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods and in particular by the four brotherhoods of passion in the city are already latent. The City Council has published a thousand units of the handbook with the Holy Week program to be aware of all the activities,” explained Moreno.

These guides, whose cover is the poster announcing Holy Week 2026, include greetings from the mayor, Ana Mula; of the Counselor of the Group of Brotherhoods and Brotherhoods, Francisco José Ruiz Guillot; and its president, Lidia Vega, as well as a brief history of the four groups of Fuengirola: Brotherhood of Passion of the San José de El Boquetillo church, Brotherhood of Nuestro Padre Jesús Cautivo of Los Boliches, Brotherhood of Fusion and Brotherhood of Cristo Yacente. In addition, the booklet includes all the information about the brotherhood children’s workshops, as well as the processional parades and parish services.

For her part, Lidia Vega thanked “the support of all the brotherhoods of Fuengirola and the City Council, without whose collaboration our penance stations would not be possible.”

To conclude, Vega pointed out that “the four brotherhoods of passion have been working for a long time for these days and we hope that the weather will be good and that people will be able to participate in the penitential stations and in the workshops that will be offered through the City Council.”
