3/20/2026 – The Fuengirola City Council has called the sixth edition of the Easter Window Display Contest, which will take place from March 28 to April 5. The Councilor for Commerce of the Fuengirola City Council, Francisco Javier García Lara, held a press conference this morning to inform about the deadlines and requirements of this initiative, which is promoted by the City Council in order to promote traditions, as well as support and promote small and medium-sized local businesses.

“Among the initiatives that we promote from the Commerce Area to give visibility and promote our local commerce, today we present the Holy Week Shop Window and Establishment Contest,” said García Lara, highlighting that “with this contest we intend for the establishments in the different neighborhoods of our city to join in this very special week for the Fuengirola brotherhood by decorating their businesses, both inside and in the shop windows, with details, objects or belongings related to Holy Week.”
The mayor highlighted that “registrations must be made through the ‘Fuengirola Más Viva’ application. A tool to give visibility to our establishments and through it, by filling out a simple form, you can register before March 25.”
The winning business will be chosen by neighbors and visitors through the ‘Fuengirola Más viva’ application, where they can vote from March 28 to April 5. All people who participate in this process will be entered into a drawing for a dinner for two at a restaurant in the city.
For its part, the establishment that wins the contest will receive a trophy and a month of free advertising on Fuengirola Television.
To conclude, García Lara has invited “all businesses in our city to join this new edition of the window display contest, which is a way to promote and give visibility to Holy Week in our municipality.”
