The City Council promotes a new edition of ‘Live Fuengirola en Familia’, a recreational, cultural and sports alternative coinciding with White Week

2/19/2026 – The City Council has promoted a new edition of ‘Live Fuengirola en Familia’, a recreational, cultural and sports alternative, for all audiences, coinciding with White Week. The program includes a wide variety of activities aimed at children, young people and adults that will take place from February 23 to March 1 in different parts of the city. Today, the Councilor for Festivals, Isabel Moreno, announced this municipal initiative.
“Every year, on the occasion of White Week, Fuengirola City Council organizes Family Week, which this year will take place from Monday, February 23 to Sunday, March 1,” explained Moreno, pointing out that “the first activity will be held on Monday, February 23, starting at twelve in the morning, in the Mayor’s Office of El Boquetillo and will consist of a magic performance organized by the Equality Area, aimed at children from 6 to 12 years.”
The programming will continue on Tuesday, February 24 and Thursday, February 26, when “the Department of Sports will develop a wide range of sports activities in the Plaza de España, where we will have sports gymkhanas to participate in as a family, between 11:00 and 13:00, on both days.”
Furthermore, Moreno has pointed out that “the Department of Sports has also prepared a family climbing activity that will take place on Wednesday, February 25, starting at 11:00 a.m., at the climbing wall in La Loma Park. That same day, the Department of Culture has prepared the presentation of the book ‘A family without equal’, by Alaska Araluce, which will take place at the Gloria Fuertes library in Los Boliches at 6:00 p.m. “
On Friday, February 27, at 12:00 p.m., the Mayor’s Office of El Boquetillo will be the scene of Strépito’s performance, an activity to encourage the participation and creativity of children. Additionally, that same day at the Peace Palace, the zarzuela ‘La del manojo de rosas’ will be performed, by Teatro Lírico Andaluz. On the other hand, Andalusia Day is commemorated on February 28. On this occasion it will be held in the Plaza Andalucía de Los Boliches, starting at 12:00 p.m., when the Andalusian flag raising ceremony will take place. Later, in the same location, the traditional concert of the Municipal Music Band will take place. In addition, Pedro Cuevas Square in Los Boliches will be the scene of children’s activities and workshops, as well as a performance by the local group Sueños Marismeños. In addition, starting at 1:00 p.m., the verdiales band ‘Raíces Moras’ and the brass band Lanz will tour the neighborhood.
Finally, there will also be concerts included in the program of the XXII International Jazz and Modern Music Seminar Málaga-Fuengirola, which will take place at the House of Culture on Saturday, February 28 at 8:00 p.m. by Van Iterson & Friends; and on Sunday, March 1 at 1:30 p.m., in Reyes Católicos square, by the Jove Bigband.
To conclude, Moreno has invited “all people to participate in Family Week, from February 23 to March 1, and be able to enjoy the extensive programming that the City Council has been preparing for several months and that will allow us to enjoy White Week together as a family.”
