The Fuengirola City Council encourages you to participate this Sunday in the 1st Friends of AVOI Meeting at the Fairgrounds

2/17/2026 -Fuengirola City Council encourages residents and visitors to participate this Sunday, February 22, in the Friends of AVOI solidarity meeting, which will be held at the Fairgrounds starting at 1:00 p.m. This is a family day organized by the AVOI association with the collaboration of the City Council, designed to enjoy a day of coexistence and, at the same time, support a charitable cause.
The event was presented at a press conference by the Councilor for Families, Equality and Social Welfare, Cristina Bornao, together with the president of AVOI, Juan Carmona, who have encouraged citizens to participate in this initiative that combines leisure, music and activities for all ages.
During the presentation, Bornao highlighted the importance of this type of solidarity meetings. “From the City Council we want to invite all Fuengirola residents to attend this day, designed to enjoy with the family and, at the same time, collaborate with the great work that AVOI does with hospitalized children. It is an opportunity to have a good day and contribute to a cause that deserves all our support,” he noted.
For his part, Juan Carmona thanked both the municipal collaboration and the booths that will host the event and the Los Artistas Culinarios club, and explained that the objective of the meeting is to create a festive and supportive atmosphere, open to all citizens. “We want it to be a day of coexistence, joy and support for the boys and girls we accompany every day in hospitals. We invite everyone to come, enjoy and join this cause,” he indicated.
The meeting will have three booths—Diana, Bolichera and La Tajá—where food and drinks will be offered at popular prices. In addition, you can purchase a dish of the day with a drink for six euros. Throughout the day there will be children’s activities for all ages and an afternoon with live music, so that both children and adults can enjoy a festive atmosphere.

The Fuengirola City Council reiterates the invitation to participate in this solidarity day, which will turn the Fairgrounds into a meeting point for coexistence, leisure and solidarity, while supporting the important social work carried out by AVOI.
