The Plaza de Los Naranjos hosts this Friday, February 13, the poetic meeting ‘The Fall of the Romantic Leaf’

9/2/2026 – The Plaza de Los Naranjos will host this coming Friday, February 13, the poetic meeting ‘The Fall of the Romantic Leaf’, included in the municipal program ‘Live Fuengirola with Love’. This was announced today by the Councilor for Families, Equality and Social Welfare, responsible for the Senior Citizens Area, Cristina Bornao, who explained that the event will take place from 12:00 p.m.

“Today we present an activity very loved by all our elders, such as The Fall of the Romantic Leaf, organized on the occasion of Valentine’s Day and framed within the Live Fuengirola with Love programming,” said Bornao, indicating that “it will be celebrated this Friday starting at twelve noon in Los Naranjos park.”

This is an event in which the authors will hang their poems on the trees, like leaves, so that anyone can enjoy reading them. In addition, starting at 12:00 p.m., a recital by the participating poets will take place.

The poems that will be hung and read during the event must be delivered in advance to the Senior Citizens Area, located on Blanca Paloma Street, before February 11.

“I encourage everyone to send us your poems and, above all, to join us next Friday in Los Naranjos park, because it is a wonderful experience,” the councilor concluded.
