The Peace Palace of Fuengirola hosts this Friday an exhibition of the municipal ballroom, Latin and regional dance workshops

The event will begin at 8:00 p.m. and admission will be free until capacity is reached.

9/2/2026 – The Peace Palace of Fuengirola will host this coming Friday, February 13, starting at 8:00 p.m., an exhibition of the municipal ballroom, Latin and regional dance workshops. This was announced this morning by the Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, and the monitor Raquel del Pozo, who explained that entry will be free of charge until the capacity of the cultural venue is reached.

“This Friday, at eight in the afternoon, we will celebrate one of our annual events at the Peace Palace with the municipal workshop on ballroom, Latin, regional and Sevillian dances, which has been taking place for 25 years,” said Romero, indicating that “it is a very varied show, very visually attractive and, above all, very fun.”

In this sense, the mayor explained that “this exhibition is a sample of the work carried out in municipal dance workshops: sport, physical maintenance, rhythm… but, above all, it is an act of first-level socialization. That is what we like the most, offering neighbors healthy and fun leisure options.”

For her part, the workshop teacher, Raquel del Pozo, has invited the neighbors to attend the show, “because students of different ages are going to participate, between 24 and 80 years old, in a magnificent setting like that of the Peace Palace. I am sure that all attendees will have a good time watching our students enjoy themselves.”

Regarding the content of the exhibition, Del Pozo has detailed that “we will begin with ballroom dancing, opening the show with a waltz. We will also see tango, foxtrot and rock & roll. In the Latin dance section there will be mambo, salsa, merengue and bachata, and we will close with a samba to give way to the block of regional and sevillian dances.”
