The Fuengirola City Council programs eleven cultural activities for all audiences for February

The agenda includes exhibitions, theater, dance, music and training activities in different municipal spaces

2/2/2026 – The Fuengirola City Council, through the Culture Area, has designed a wide and diverse cultural program for the month of February, with proposals that cover exhibitions, theater, dance, music, workshops and family activities, designed for all audiences and distributed in different cultural spaces in the city. The Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, has been in charge of presenting the cultural agenda for the second month of the year.

“We come to report on the activities that are proposed for the people of Fuengirola from the Culture Area this month of February. It is a diverse and balanced programme, which combines consolidated proposals with new initiatives, and is committed to bringing culture closer to citizens through different municipal spaces,” said Romero, who went on to detail the different cultural proposals.

Thus, the agenda begins with the painting exhibition ‘Dreams and Paths’, by the artist Simón Pizarro, which can be visited until February 20 at the Manuel Delgado Perea Culture House, from Monday to Friday. Added to this exhibition is the exhibition ‘Andalusian Photography 2026’, organized in collaboration with the Imagen Collective, which opens on February 6 on the Paseo Marítimo Rey de España, in front of the Ilunion hotel, and will remain open until March 15. Also notable is the painting exhibition ‘Circus’, by José María Córdoba, which will open on February 12 at the City Museum and can be visited until April 5.

The theater will have a prominent role with performances such as “Solvitur ambulando”, starring Alba Gamero and Romana Flores, on the 13th at the Casa de Cultura, and “Two men alone, without dot com… or anything”, with David Caballero and Manolo Medina, on the 27th at the Palacio de la Paz. In addition, the public will be able to enjoy the zarzuela “La del manojo de rosas”, by the Teatro Lírico Andaluz, on February 28 at the Palacio de la Paz.

Contemporary dance will arrive on February 21 with the show “Hiraeth”, by the C-Art company, also at the Peace Palace, while music will be present with the Andalusia Day Concert, offered by the Municipal Music Band on February 28, at 12:00 p.m., in the Plaza de Andalucía. That same day the XXII International Jazz and Modern Music Seminar Málaga-Fuengirola will begin, which will include workshops, masterclasses and concerts until March 1.

The month is completed with training and participatory activities, such as the archeology workshops at the Roman site of the Finca del Secretariat, organized in collaboration with Menia Restauración, as well as the exhibition of the municipal ballroom and regional dance workshops at the Peace Palace, with free admission until capacity is reached.

“With this programming, Fuengirola reaffirms its commitment to culture, offering a broad, varied and quality agenda that reinforces the cultural life of the municipality throughout the month of February,” said Rodrigo Romero in conclusion.
