The registration period is open to participate in the Archeology Workshops that will take place at the Secretary’s Estate


They will be held on Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., and will be dedicated to families and children, respectively. Registrations can be made free of charge by sending an email to info@meniarestauracion.com indicating in the subject: WORKSHOP

1/23/2026 – The Culture Area of ​​the Fuengirola City Council has opened the registration period to participate in the Archeology Workshops that will take place at the Secretary’s Estate. On this occasion, the conference will be held on Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8, starting at 11:00 in the morning, and registration can be made, completely free of charge, by sending an email to info@meniarestauracion.com indicating in the subject: WORKSHOP. This was announced today by the Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, together with Cristina Moreno, teacher of the restoration workshop at the House of Culture and member of the work team that will teach the workshops.

In each of these activities, which last approximately two hours, there will be a guided tour of the site, where participants will fill out a teaching sheet, there will also be a group dynamic and finally they will make an archaeological reproduction in the archeology workshop.

Thus, the workshop on Saturday, February 7, will be dedicated to the family audience, will focus on the Iberian period and participants will receive notions about polychromes and Iberian ceramic decoration; while the workshop on Sunday, February 8, will be aimed at children (from 6 to 14 years old), will focus on the Roman era and will offer workshops on Roman mosaics and antefixes.

These workshops, promoted by the Fuengirola City Council in collaboration with ArqueoRutas and Menia Restauración, will take place in a special enclave such as the Finca del Secretary archaeological site. The workshops will take place from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.

The work team in charge of teaching these workshops is made up of qualified professionals in heritage conservation and restoration, graduates in History with a specialty in archeology and interpreters of historical and artistic heritage, with extensive experience in educational and informative activities developed in archaeological enclaves such as the Roman Theater of Malaga or the Museum of the City of Antequera, among others.
