Fuengirola City Council designs an extensive program of free activities for young people ahead of Christmas

Free workshops on cooking, sports, art, urban culture, video games, technology and healthy leisure make up a diverse agenda designed for all tastes and ages

11/14/2025 – Fuengirola City Council has designed an extensive program of free activities for young people for Christmas, with proposals that range from cooking and sports to creativity, technology and urban culture. It was the Youth Councilor, Isaac Vargas, who announced this complete offer of free activities, designed by and for young people from Fuengirola and designed for all tastes and ages.

“Today we come to present the agenda of the Youth area for December, a month full of free initiatives that seek to offer healthy, creative and participatory leisure alternatives to the youth of Fuengirola. The activities will begin at the end of November and will last until the beginning of January,” said Vargas, who highlighted that “we have designed a very varied and open program, thinking that any young person in Fuengirola can find a proposal that fits their interests. We want Christmas to also be a time to learn, share and enjoy enriching activities.”

The appointments will start on November 30 with a new session of the Urban Sketchers meetups, aimed at those who enjoy drawing outdoors. It will take place in the Plaza de la Constitución from 10:30 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. On December 3 and 4 it will be the turn of the Oriental Cuisine workshop for young people aged 16 to 35, which will be held in the Colores building, from 7 to 9:30 p.m.

On December 5, the municipal Singing workshop, led by Paula Adiego, will offer a performance in the Plaza Virgen del Rosario in La Calerita during the traditional Christmas bonfire and chocolate. It will be from 5:00 p.m. Later, on December 6 and 7, the Game Party, aimed at lovers of video games and virtual reality, will take place at the House of Culture (from 11:00 a.m. to 10:00 p.m.). On December 7, at 12:00 p.m., a K-Pop event with contests and exhibitions will also be held at the Youth Booth (fairgrounds).

On December 13, at six in the afternoon, at the Youth booth, a benefit concert will be held in favor of AVATES, organized by the young people of the Adventist Church, with free access, and on December 18, the performance of the students of the municipal theater workshop will arrive, which will be directed by Mari Carmen Aragonés, at the Mayor’s Office of El Boquetillo, at 6:00 p.m.

In addition, on December 19, from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., a Japanese workshop through manga and anime will be held, aimed at young people between the ages of 14 and 35. It will take place in the Colores building. On December 20 and 27 and January 3, a Christmas cooking workshop will be held for children ages 9 to 15, which will begin at eleven in the morning, also in the Colores building.

For those passionate about experimentation, a science camp (from 9 to 12 years old) will be held from December 22 to 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., in the Colores building. A Parkour workshop will also take place in the Fuengirola Free Area, on December 22 and 23 for children aged 10 to 14, and on the 29th and 30th for young people aged 15 to 35, which will start at ten thirty in the morning.

The mayor stressed that “all activities are free and have a participatory approach, because we believe that the best programming is that which is built together with the young people themselves and responds to what they ask of us every day.”

Likewise, Vargas has encouraged participation by ensuring that “this December the children and adolescents of Fuengirola will have more options than ever to learn, have fun and meet new people. Our priority is to continue expanding its leisure offer with quality proposals.”
