The Fuengirola City Council reforms the children’s area of ​​the San Álvaro de Los Pacos park

The maintenance service workers are carrying out renovation work on the safety pavement of the playground and installing new swings.

11/04/2025. The Fuengirola City Council is renovating the children’s area of ​​the San Álvaro de Los Pacos park to improve the safety and comfort of the users of this public leisure area. The Councilor for Urban Ecology, José Sánchez, and the councilor of the neighborhood in its southern axis, Rosa Ana Bravo, visited the work today, which is being carried out by the workers from the maintenance service of these spaces.

“In Fuengirola we are monitoring the state of all the parks and children’s areas. The passing of the years and their own use have caused logical wear and tear that was already noticeable. Therefore, it was time to act so that the children and families who come to this facility can use it in the best possible conditions,” explained the councilor.

Thus, the action consists of the demolition of the current pavement and installation of a new safety floor, as well as new swings and the restoration of the current play elements.

The work began last week and the estimated execution time is about fifteen days. They have a cost of around 20,000 euros and is included in the maintenance item of the aforementioned municipal concession, held by the company Contenur.

“It is essential that neighbors convey their demands and concerns to us. We had several comments from users who, rightly, told us that the playground was not in the best possible conditions and we were able to get to work to repair it as soon as possible. Fluid communication between neighbors and the City Council is the best way to improve our environment,” explained the councilor responsible for Los Pacos Sur.
