All records have been broken, both for registered runners, completing the 2,500 registered runners that we had contemplated as a maximum. We will also have about 300 volunteers, who are very important for the previous preparations, delivery of numbers and during the development of the test itself. We are especially grateful for their commitment and the effort they will make. Without them, the Fuengirola sports festival would not be possible,” said Rodríguez.

In this way, participants will be able to collect their runner bags and numbers on Friday the 7th, Saturday the 8th and shortly before the race, on Sunday the 9th. On Friday they will be able to do so, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m., at the Fuengirola City Hall. The next day, Saturday, in the same place but from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., in which the ‘Runner’s Fair’ will also be held with stands of a multitude of sports products and charity stalls in favor of the work of the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients Fuengirola-Mijas (AFA). On the other hand, the councilor has thanked the willingness and the work carried out together with the areas of Citizen Security and Mobility, with which different meetings have been held, “so that everything runs perfectly, the experience of the runner is improved and has the least possible impact on the citizens. The coordination is perfect with the Local Police, Civil Protection, with the volunteers, health workers… So it will be a highly safe test.”

In this regard, it has also been reported that both the city’s public services, the taxi sector, and hotel establishments have been informed of the test route as well as the consequent interruptions in traffic.

The test will start at 9:30 a.m. from the Fairgrounds and will run through the entire municipal area, which will be coordinated by a large Local Police device.
