The Network of Municipal Libraries summons the V Prize ‘Fuengirola reading’ aimed at neighbors of all ages
In this edition three modalities have been established: ‘Bookface’, ‘Mariapáginas’ and ‘Leo and recommend’. Participants have divided into seven groups: six depending on age (from 3 years to adults) and another aimed at people with different abilities
9/9/2025 – The City of Fuengirola, through the Department of Culture and its Network of Municipal Libraries, has called the V Municipal Award ‘Fuengirola reading’, in which all the people who reside in Fuengirola can participate. This was announced this morning by the Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, who explained that it is an initiative with which it is intended to promote reading, especially among children and young people, although categories have been established for all ages and also for people with different abilities. In this edition, three modalities of participation have been established: ‘Bookface’, ‘Mariapáginas’ and ‘Leo and recommend’.
All people residing in Fuengirola will be able to participate in this contest and for this 7 participation groups have been established. Group 1 encompasses people with different abilities; Group 2 is aimed at children from 3 to 5 years (second cycle of early childhood); the 3 for children from 6 to 8 years (first cycle of primary education); Group 4 will be for children aged 8 to 10 (second cycle of primary education); Group 5 for 10 to 12 years (third cycle of primary education); The 6 for 12 to 16 years (ESO) and Group 7 will be for adults over 16 years.
On the other hand, Romero has detailed what each of the three categories to competition consists of. Thus, ‘Bookface’ consists of photographs, where the face (or another part of the body) is coincided with the image that appears on the cover of a book. In this modality, groups 1, 6 and 7 may participate.
The marking modality consists of a free -free drawing drawing, which must be presented on cardboard (4 x 20 centimeters). This modality is open to the participation of all groups.
Finally, ‘Leo and recommends’ will consist of creating a recommendation through a video of a title of your interest. The video or reel may not exceed the minute duration and will be published within the Instagram profile of the participant OA through the Instagram profile of his educational center, labeling and mentioning the libraries of Fuengirola and with the hashtag #leoyreoming Fuengirola25. It is open to the participation of all groups.
The date of presentation of the works will be open until November 14 in the municipal libraries of Fuengirola, in the Secretariat of the Centers already through Instagram. The awards of each category will consist of an accrediting diploma and a lot of books.
