The Fuengirola City Council organizes a cycling route to Torreblanca Toro on Sunday, September 7
The activity, promoted in collaboration with the Cycling Club of the South, will begin at 10:00 hours from the Park of Spain. The route will have a length of 18 kilometers, with a low average difficulty suitable for all levels
8/2025 – The Department of Sports of the City of Fuengirola has organized, together with the Southern Cycling Passion Club for Sunday, September 7, a cycling route to Torreblanca’s bull, leaving from the Park of Spain at ten in the morning. This has been announced today by the Councilor of the Branch, Julio Rodríguez, and the representative of the Southern Cycling Passion, Lucía Maté.
“We are very happy to be able to announce this cycling route thanks to the commitment that has once again with the southern cycling passion, a reference club throughout Andalusia and in Fuengirola we are lucky enough to work side by side with them to be able to develop the values offered by the sport and also discover our environment,” said Rodriguez, explaining that “we are going to make a cycling route to the Torre de Torre de Torre de Torre on Sunday, September 7 ”.
As explained by the mayor, before starting the route, “about half past nine in the morning, symbolic dorsal will be delivered to be able to carry the count, as it will be a maximum of 50 people who can register. We will leave the Plaza de España and travel the Paseo Marítimo to Torreblanca to climb the bull and travel in groups the northern zone of the Pacos”.
In this sense, Rodríguez has indicated that “it will not be a competitive test, it will be a test for the whole family. It will be a walk for parents, mothers, young children, grandparents … to reach the Torreblanca bull, enjoy the beautiful views and spend a magnificent day of coexistence.”
Regarding the registration to participate in the route, the mayor explained that “it is completely free and can be done through the QR code that appears on the posters of the Cyclist route OA through the Facebook platform by southern Cyclist Passion.”
For its part, Lucía Maté has indicated that “the race has prepared for kids from 14 or 15 years to go alone. Those who are smaller of that age if they must be accompanied by their parents or mothers. It will be a 18 -kilometer route suitable for all audiences and we will have the help of all experts who have been practicing bicycle for many years and that there are always a puncture, chain exit, chain exit or any problem that can occur.
To conclude, Maté has encouraged to participate in this activity, “because going out with group bike is a much more fun experience than going alone and there is also the opportunity to meet people who have this hobby, because cycling is a pretty social sport.”
