12/3/2025 – España Park will be the scene this Saturday of the Municipal Music Band concert to commemorate Constitution Day. It will take place on December 6, starting at 12:30 p.m., with free access, as reported by the Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero.
“This Saturday we have the traditional concert of the Municipal Band in the Parque de España for Constitution Day, which will begin at twelve thirty at noon,” explained Romero, pointing out that “the program that they will perform in the Cristóbal Blanca del Moral auditorium, as is usually traditional, will be eminently Spanish, although, on this occasion, they will wink at our Finnish neighbors, a very large community in our city that, that same day, also celebrates the independence of their country.”
Thus, as the councilor explained, for this occasion the Municipal Band has prepared a program with a unique part. They will interpret Finland; after Canary Islands; next, Shadow of the Crusader; Chiclanera; and, finally, The Grenadier Drum.
The Fuengirola Municipal Music Band was created at the beginning of 1962, first as a school of music theory and musical theory and, later, with the acquisition of instruments, as a music band. The Municipal Band is currently made up of 42 instrumentalists of notable level and has an extensive repertoire of concert works: preludes, overtures, fantasies, selections from operas and zarzuelas, among other musical genres.
