7/14/2026 – Marenostrum Fuengirola confirms Chambao’s performance on the Fundación Unicaja stage of Castillo Sohail, on Sunday, September 6. This show is part of the ’25th anniversary’ tour, where La Mari celebrates a quarter of a century on stage with an album where she has re-recorded all her hits with some truly luxurious collaborators. This concert, which closes the lineup of national artists of the eleventh Fuengirola season, will be the finishing touch to the most important edition to date of the concert series, and will be full of surprises and collaborations, given the special connection that the artist has with the Fuengirola venue.
María del Mar Rodríguez Carnero, La Mari, is the composer, vocalist and creative soul of Chambao, one of the most personal and recognizable musical projects to emerge in Spain in recent years. Her peculiar style has made her a reference and an icon of Spanish music, achieving 11 platinum records in Spain, Ondas awards, the Andalusian Medal and nominations for the Latin Grammys and the Goya Awards.
In recent years, La Mari has expanded its creative universe by incorporating words, reflection and personal growth as an essential part of its artistic discourse, without ever losing the essence that has defined Chambao since its beginnings: honesty, emotion and freedom.
After a hiatus, Chambao returned in 2023 with her highly anticipated album “En la crest del Ahora” and with a very special tour that took her to play in Spain, Latin America and Europe. In 2024 and 2025 he released several singles such as Mañana, Fresca or La Piel, in collaboration with SFDK, which took us to the deepest roots of Chambao. This 2026, La Mari has brought us the album of her life, and with it a concert that promises to be a before and after in her musical career.
