The Fuengirola City Council expands the parking lot at the San Cayetano Cemetery Park with more than a hundred spaces
The works to create 104 new parking spaces have been completed, adding to the 59 that already existed in the aforementioned cemetery
5/12/2026 – The Fuengirola City Council has expanded the parking lot at the San Cayetano Cemetery Park with more than a hundred spaces. The works, which were recently completed, were visited today by Mayor Ana Mula and the councilor responsible for this municipal funeral facility, Francisco Javier Garcia Lara.

“We continue to adapt municipal services to current needs. Our Cemetery Park required an expansion of parking because, at times, the amount it had was manifestly insufficient. We had found a temporary solution, with an annexed land, and which we have now properly conditioned so that they are permanent parking lots,” explained the councilor.
In this way, the work has consisted of the creation of 110 parking spaces on a site adjacent to the existing parking lot and the columbarium garden. Four of the aforementioned parking units are for people with reduced mobility, and in addition, two more areas have been provided for motorcycles.
The cost of the work was 266,352.15 euros – according to the budget of the municipal company that manages the cemetery – and they were carried out by the company ACSA. Work began in February and was completed recently.
Thus, as Ana Mula has detailed, users of the San Cayetano Cemetery Park already have a total of 169 spaces to park their vehicles during their visit to these municipal facilities.
