The performances will be held from May 20 to 22 at 8:00 p.m. and tickets go on sale, at the price of five euros, at the House of Culture from May 7
5/5/2026 – The Muñoz Seca Municipal Theater Group of Fuengirola presents a farce festival from May 20 to 22 at the Casa de la Cultura that will allocate the proceeds from the 21st and 22nd to the Afesol Salud Mental association. This was announced today by the Councilor for Families, Equality and Social Welfare, Cristina Bornao, and the director of the theater group, Conchi Pericet, who explained that the performances will begin at 8:00 p.m. and that tickets will have a price of 5 euros and will be available at the House of Culture, starting on Thursday, May 7, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. 8:00 p.m.
“Today we present one of the most beautiful collaborations that we have in the Department of Senior Citizens, such as the performances of the Muñoz Seca Theater Group, which on this occasion is going to bring us a festival of skits and I want to show you our gratitude for collaborating with us and for once again donating a good part of the proceeds to a social entity such as in this case Afesol,” explained Bornao.
For his part, Pericet has pointed out that “we have lovingly prepared three very funny skits such as The Gynecologist, We Are Nobody and King Tiburcio Seeks a Wife. Tickets go on sale this Thursday at the House of Culture and I recommend purchasing them as soon as possible because they always sell out quickly.”
Today, the Muñoz Seca Municipal Theater group has become a benchmark in comedy and farce performances on the Costa del Sol, the result of more than two decades of life behind the scenes. Furthermore, their solidarity nature is one of their most notable facets, as they frequently carry out charitable functions to raise funds that are subsequently donated to social entities, such as in this case to AFA.
Tribute to elders
On the other hand, the councilor responsible for the Senior Citizens Area, Cristina Bornao, recalled that next Tuesday, May 12, at 7:00 p.m., the Royal Hall of the City Council will host the XVII Tribute to the Elderly, “an activity in which we pay tribute to the elderly people of our city for their life history.”
It is an initiative open to citizens, since “all those people who wish to have a detail and pay tribute to a loved one for their personal, work or family career, can do so through the Department of Families, Equality and Social Welfare. The only requirement is that the person who is going to be honored is over 65 years old and is registered in Fuengirola,” he noted.
The application period will be open until Thursday, May 7 at the Senior Citizens’ offices on Blanca Paloma Street, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
