The Fuengirola City Council puts school centers for the 2025/2026 course
During the summer school break, the town hall has carried out covers repair work in the Santa Amalia, Cervantes, El Tejar, Los Boliches and Azahar schools. In total, the Consistory has allocated about 350,000 euros in different repair and maintenance actions that it has done throughout the summer
9/9/2025 – The City of Fuengirola has put schools ready for the 2025/2026 course. Mayor Ana Mula and the mayor of Education, Carmen Díaz, has visited one of them, the Syalis, where everything is prepared to receive in their classrooms and areas common to their students, as the city occurs in the other centers.
“The maintenance of public schools is an issue that we take very seriously. Our concierge work daily to detect and fix the incidents that occur. And wherever they do not arrive, there is the City Council to implement the necessary measures to solve them. And it is, during the summer, when we take the opportunity to undertake these tasks that require a deeper intervention,” explained the governor.

These interventions include the repair of the covers of the Santa Amalia, Cervantes, Azahar and Los Boliches schools, whose value adds a total of 92,756.64 euros. In both cases, the winning company has been Construcciones Glesa. These works will end certain problems of leaks and leaks in these school enclosures.
Likewise, as Mula, municipal operators and those attached to the Andalusia Active Plan have remembered, they have carried out ordinary maintenance and repair work in all city centers. For example, paint, replacement of luminaires, repair of passwords, blind arrangement, doors, toiletgism, moisture arrangement, replacement of solerias, among other actions.
To all those mentioned works, we must add the different tasks carried out by urban ecology workers as a pruning, unbroken, as well as the tasks of uninsection of the centers, cleaning of aljibes or the review of the extinguishers of the schools.
In total, the Consistory has allocated about 350,000 euros of its budget to tuning all school infrastructure. Apart from, we must mention the construction works of the new Picasso College, which began at the beginning of this summer by the Junta de Andalucía.
“In short, we have not stopped working throughout the summer so that our schools present the best possible aspect and our children can develop their learning in the best conditions,” he concluded.
