The Fuengirola Senior Citizens Area presents a new edition of the ‘Enjoy with your grandchild in Bioparc’ program
The elderly of Fuengirola will be able to visit the city zoo with their grandchildren for free on June 26. Those interested must register in advance at the Senior Citizens’ offices on Blanca Paloma Street, until June 24.
6/15/2026 – The Senior Citizens Area of the Fuengirola City Council, coordinated by the Councilor for Families, Equality and Social Welfare, Cristina Bornao, reports on a new edition of the activity promoted by this municipal area entitled ‘Enjoy with your grandchild in Bioparc’. Through it, Fuengirola residents over 65 years of age are offered the possibility of visiting the city’s zoo with their grandchildren on June 26, coinciding with the start of the Summer school holidays.
The program includes free entry to the enclosure and unlimited stay in the zoo. You must register in advance at the facilities of the Senior Citizens’ Department on Blanca Paloma Street, from 9:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, presenting a valid Fuengirola retiree card.
This is an initiative that has zero cost for both those interested and the municipal coffers, thanks to the collaboration agreement signed between the City Council and Bioparc.
Bioparc Fuengirola champions a new park model based on respect for nature and the preservation of its species, a model that has already become a reference at the European level. In its facilities, the natural habitat of the different species is recreated and they are environments specially designed for them, whether tropical, aquatic or adapted to jungle environments, mainly from Asia, Africa and the Indo-Pacific Islands. To talk about Bioparc is to refer to a different concept of zoo, a zoo in which animals coexist in a recreation of their habitat.
