The Marenostrum Fuengirola venue will be the scene of the Summer Cinema on July 21 and 22 and August 11 and 12

The users themselves will, once again, be the ones who choose the films to be shown, voting for their favorites on the Miramar Centro Comercial social networks.

5/29/2026 – The Marenostrum Fuengirola venue will once again be the setting for the Summer Cinema on July 21 and 22 and August 11 and 12, thanks to the collaboration agreement between the city council and Miramar Centro Comercial. This was announced this morning by the Councilor for Beaches, José Sánchez, and the head of the entity’s marketing department, Sandra Iglesias, who explained that, once again, it will be the users themselves who choose the films to be shown by voting for their favorites on social networks and the website of the Miramar Shopping Center, from June 2 to 10.

Those interested will be able to select four films from the following titles: ‘How to Train Your Dragon’, ‘Sonic’, ‘Wild Robot’, ‘Wicked’, ‘The Bad Guys 2’, ‘Paddington’, ‘Ruby, Adventures of a Teenage Kraken’ and ‘Bufalo Kids’.

“One of the most consolidated and successful activities in our city in the summer is the Summer Cinema, which we have been organizing for more than a decade and which always has the public’s acceptance from both the neighbors and those who visit us in the summer,” said Sánchez.

In this sense, the mayor explained that “it is a cultural activity that complements the sun and beach offer that we have in Fuengirola. It is also a family activity that we have been celebrating for a few years at the Marenostrum venue, which allows you to enjoy the screenings comfortably, either in the towel area, on chairs or on the stands.”

In addition, the Summer Cinema has a solidarity component, since for another year the operation of the food and drink bars will be transferred to two social associations with deep roots in the city such as the Spanish Association Against Cancer (AECC) and the Association of Relatives of Alzheimer’s Patients (AFA).

Sánchez thanked Miramar Centro Comercial “for collaborating with us once again both in this activity and in many others that we organize throughout the year, and once again will allow users to choose the films that will be shown through their social networks.”

For her part, Sandra Iglesias, representing Miramar Centro Comercial, highlighted that this initiative “is very important to us, because we think it brings a lot of value to the city of Fuengirola and is also spectacularly well received. It is an action that is part of our corporate social action program in which we collaborate by financing the cost of film licenses and with the communication campaign to make Summer Cinema known to citizens.”
