Fuengirola presents an intense cultural program for the month of May with theater, exhibitions, literature, music and folklore
The Councilor for Culture, Rodrigo Romero, highlights an agenda full of activities for all audiences, with special prominence of Fulanita Fest, the Book Fair and municipal artistic exhibitions
4/30/2026 – The Councilor for Culture of the Fuengirola City Council, Rodrigo Romero, presented this morning the cultural programming designed for the month of May, a wide and varied agenda that includes exhibitions, theater, literature, archeology workshops, cinema, music and folklore, with activities aimed at all audiences.
Romero has highlighted “the quality and diversity of the cultural offer that we have prepared from the Culture Area for the month of May, which includes large exhibitions, some of which we can already enjoy in the City Museum.” In this sense, the mayor recalled that this exhibition space houses until May 17 the exhibition ‘Fuengirola, the art of fishing’, with works from the Juan Haro collection, and from May 28 it will host the exhibition ‘ARTS’, dedicated to the workshops municipal artistic.

In addition, on May 7, the exhibition of the Third Age Crafts and Oil Painting workshops will open its doors, which will remain on display to the public until May 20 at the Manuel Delgado Perea Culture House. This exhibition highlights the talent and creativity of the participants in the municipal workshops.
On the other hand, from May 20 to 22, the House of Culture will host a new performance by the Muñoz Seca Municipal Theater Group with a ‘Carousel of skits, so you can’t stop laughing’, which will include the works ‘The Cinecologist’s Consultation’, ‘King Tiburcio is looking for a wife’ and ‘We are nobody’. The performances will begin at 8:00 p.m., and two of them will be charitable in favor of AFESOL.
On May 24, Plaza Pedro Cuevas will be the scene of the dance exhibition organized within the framework of the IV Provincial Folklore Conference of Malaga, an event that will bring together groups from all over the province.
Literature will take center stage from May 25 to June 5 with the celebration of the Book Fair and the VIII Children’s and Youth Literature Conference in the Parque de España, already consolidated as one of the most anticipated cultural events on the local calendar. Spain Park

In addition, from May 25 to 27, the House of Culture will host the LTB Women Creators in Cinema Exhibition, included in the Fulanita Fest programming, with screenings, discussions and a performance by Miss Beige.
Music will also have a prominent role with the celebration of the IV Musical Exhibition of Female Artists of Andalusia, also part of the Fulanita Fest, which will take place on May 28 at 9:00 p.m. in the Plaza del Puerto Deportivo, with free admission. Marina Square
For its part, the Casa de Cultura will also host, from May 28 to June 28, the group exhibition “Let’s Fest!!”, curated by La Casa Amarilla, with the participation of four LGTBIQ+ artists within the Fulanita Fest programming.
