The Great Park of La Loma de Fuengirola hosts a day of inclusive sports this Saturday
The activity, open to the participation of people of all ages, will begin at 10:00 am and will include a warm-up with music, an obstacle course, throwing at giant targets and other sports games.
4/22/2026 – The Sports Councilor of the Fuengirola City Council, Julio Rodríguez, presented this morning a new day of inclusive sports that will take place next Saturday, April 25, starting at 10:00 a.m., in the Gran Parque de La Loma. This is an initiative aimed at families and people of all ages, conceived as a space for coexistence, participation and fun through sport.

The program will include activities such as warming up with music, obstacle courses, throwing at giant targets and different adapted sports games, with the aim of promoting sports practice in an accessible and barrier-free environment.
“We continue to advance in our commitment to sport for all with an inclusive proposal, open to anyone, regardless of their age, condition or abilities. We want it to be a day where participation and equality prevail,” Rodríguez highlighted.
The activity is promoted by the Club Yo Apoyo el Deporte (YAED) and the Inclusive Mothers in Defense of Equity (MIDE) association, in collaboration with the Department of Sports. In this sense, the mayor has highlighted the importance of working together with social entities to continue promoting inclusive initiatives in the city.
Rodríguez recalled that this event continues the one held last September on Castillo beach, which was well received and participated by numerous young people. “We want to continue generating spaces where everyone can enjoy sport on equal terms, and La Loma Park is an ideal setting for this,” he added.
The day will take place between 10:00 and 12:00 and will have the collaboration of volunteers from the organizing entities, as well as municipal technicians.
Finally, the councilor thanked the involvement of David Prieto, from YAED, and María Eugenia Palomino, from MIDE, “for making this initiative possible that reflects Fuengirola’s commitment to inclusion and sport as a tool for social unity.”
