04/06/2026. The Fuengirola City Council has completed the renovation works on the existing square between Sevilla and San Salvador streets. The mayor Ana Mula has visited the results of the same together with the Councilor for Infrastructure, José Sánchez.
The objective of this intervention has been to redevelop and renovate the appearance of this urban space, in a similar way to the nearby Plaza de San José, in which the City Council has also acted in recent times.
Thus, it has consisted of increasing the pedestrian surface, burying the containers, renewing the lighting and all the paving with marble and flamed amber cream-colored cobblestones, as well as beautifying it with the creation of a new planter, in Corten steel, to protect the large tree that presides over this space.
Likewise, the project has involved the replacement of the concrete fecal collector with a 315 millimeter diameter PVC one, the installation of a new supply pipe for future actions on Sevilla Street, the restitution of the storm drains, as well as the installation of two wooden benches.
This action had a cost of 160,332.86 euros. The winning company that carried out the work was Sardalla Española SA
