3/26/2026 – The Fuengirola Youth Area has organized an excursion to the Cadiz town of Bolonia to practice surfing on April 18. This was announced today by councilor Isaac Vargas, who indicated that the activity has a price of 40 euros and includes a round-trip bus trip, two one-hour surf classes, material (board and neoprene) and an excursion through the dunes. Registration opens tomorrow, Friday, March 27, at 8:00 p.m., through the Citizen Card.

“From the Department of Youth we present an activity that we launched for the first time last year and that was born in the Municipal Youth Council. It is a trip for April 18, leaving at eight in the morning from Mercacentro towards Bologna, where we will have surf classes with specialized instructors who will offer us two hours of practice, including surfboards and a wetsuit,” explained Vargas, pointing out that it is an activity Aimed at young people between 16 and 35 years old.

In this sense, the mayor has pointed out that “the instructors will offer us two hours of surfing and then we will have the material available to use for the rest of the time. We will also bring nets to play volleyball and we have prepared a route through the dunes of the beaches of Bolonia to get to know one of the most famous areas of Andalusia.”

The day will begin at eight in the morning, when the bus will leave for Bologna. The return trip to Fuengirola will depart around eight in the afternoon. The activity is aimed at young people between 16 and 35 years old and the surfing classes are at an initial level, so it is not necessary to have any knowledge or have practiced this sport before to participate.

To conclude, the mayor has encouraged young people “not to miss the opportunity and to sign up for this activity, because we will be able to surf in an unbeatable setting like Bologna. For any questions, those interested can consult the Youth Department, as well as through our social networks.”
