The Fuengirola City Council enables nearly 70 parking spaces on Virgen del Carmen street

The Operational Services have completed this action, which was agreed upon by the City Council and the residents of this road located in La Loma in a meeting held on March 12. Four of the 68 parking spaces are for people with reduced mobility

3/26/2026 – Fuengirola City Council has enabled nearly 70 parking spaces on Virgen del Carmen street, in the La Loma area. The action ended this week and was carried out by the municipal Operational Services.

The mayor Ana Mula and the mayor of Infrastructure, José Sánchez, have visited the area and have explained that the intervention has consisted of the elimination of one of the traffic lanes in a large part of the route of this road to facilitate online and parallel parking. At the same time, the direction of this street has been partially modified, in its section that runs parallel to the park that bears the name of the Patroness of Los Boliches, and the existing squares have been modified from line to battery to increase the number.

The final result has been the provision of 68 spaces to park vehicles, four of them for people with reduced mobility.

This action, as the councilor recalled, has been the result of the agreement reached between the local entity and the residents who reside in this area in a meeting held on March 12 at the Los Boliches Mayor’s Office.
