The Fuengirola City Council modernizes access to the Elola paddle tennis courts with a new digital reservation system

These can be done starting next Monday through the Citizen Card mobile application. Users will be able to open and close the doors, turn the lights on and off from their mobile phone.

3/20/2026 – Fuengirola City Council has modernized access to the paddle tennis courts of the Elola Sports Complex with the implementation of an innovative digital reservation system, which starting next Monday will allow users to manage the entire process from their mobile phone through the Citizen Card application.

This was announced today by the Councilors for Innovation and Sports, Isabel González and Julio Rodríguez, during a visit to the facilities themselves, where they highlighted the advantages of this new tool, designed to facilitate and streamline the use of municipal sports spaces.

This action is part of the Sports Facilities Modernization Plan promoted by Mayor Ana Mula. The five paddle tennis courts have this unassisted management system and the complete renovation of the LED lighting, more efficient and sustainable.

The new system allows users to book a court quickly and intuitively. To do this, you only need to download the Citizen Card application, create a user and access the ‘Book padel’ section. From there, you can select the facility—both the La Loma Park and Elola slopes—, choose the day and time, and make the corresponding payment.

In addition to booking, the application incorporates additional functionalities that optimize the use of the slopes. Thus, users can access the facilities by activating the opening of the door directly from the app and, in the case of reservations at night, turn the court lighting on and off with a single click.

In this sense, Isabel González has highlighted the importance of continuing to advance in the digitalization of public services: “We put innovation at the service of Fuengirola residents to make their daily lives more comfortable. This system improves the user experience by offering easier, faster and more efficient access to our sports facilities.”

For his part, Julio Rodríguez has stressed the municipal commitment to promoting sports: “Our goal is for residents to enjoy modern and accessible facilities. This tool not only speeds up reservations, but also allows the entire process to be managed comfortably from your mobile phone.”

With this initiative, the City Council continues to advance in the modernization and digitalization of its services, offering innovative solutions that improve accessibility and promote the practice of sports among citizens.
