Quixote’s Hunger is a surprising and hilarious show with live music that proposes a journey through the most universal and hungry of novels: Don Quixote de la Mancha. The work invites the public to discover laughter as food for the soul and vindicates culture as an essential element capable of inspiring and transforming.
The classic text is converted into a contemporary proposal, direct and close to the viewer. At times irreverent and at other times subtle, the staging stands out for its acting truth and draws on the spirit of those comedians of the Golden Age who told stories in the comedy corrals to make people laugh, move and reflect through books.
“Read a lot and walk a lot, because whoever does it sees much more and knows more,” stated Alonso Quijano in Cervantes’ work, a phrase that summarizes the spirit of this stage proposal. Because, as the show reminds us, we are not mills… we are giants!
The play, directed and starring David García-Intriago, will also feature live music by Santiago Vokram, violinist of the rock group Mägo de Oz.
