The Fuengirola City Council thanks the residents for the high degree of compliance with their tax obligations

9/2/2026 – The Fuengirola City Council, through the Councilor for Finance, Rosa Ana Bravo, has thanked the city’s residents for their high degree of compliance with tax obligations. The councilor has described as “excellent” the collection data recorded last year, which experienced an increase of 12% compared to the previous year.
“We present the data for the end of last year’s fiscal year, which are excellent and reflect an increase of 12% in collection, reaching a percentage of 95%,” Bravo highlighted. “These figures show that residents comply with their tax obligations. Fuengirola residents are good payers and that says a lot about everyone’s commitment and responsibility.”
The councilor wanted to expressly thank “this collective effort, because thanks to it and the effective and rigorous management led by our mayor, Ana Mula, we continue to move forward together. Administration and citizens form a great team.”
This good management, he noted, “allows us to continue investing in the well-being of our neighbors, improving services, infrastructure and social policies without increasing fiscal pressure.”
In this sense, Bravo recalled that for years the City Council has maintained a 30% discount on taxes for all Fuengirola residents who meet the requirements, “a measure that demonstrates our commitment to families and the local economy.”
Finally, the councilor stressed that Fuengirola is “an example of responsibility, good management and joint work”, and has assured that the City Council will continue working in 2026 along the same lines, “managing seriously and thinking about the present and the future of our city.”
