The Treasury informs that the 2026 fiscal calendar can now be consulted in the municipal offices or on the City Council website

The two deadlines for the payment of the ITVM, GEMER or the IBI are maintained and the 5% prompt payment bonus will be in force from April 1 to May 5

1/21/2026 -The Department of Finance of the Fuengirola City Council has reported that the 2026 fiscal calendar can now be consulted in the municipal offices or on the Consistory’s website. This was stated this morning by the councilor for the sector, Rosa Ana Bravo, who highlighted that the 30% bonus is maintained for people registered in the city for the payment of ITVM, GEMER or IBI and the 5% bonus for prompt payment and for direct debit of receipts. The payment of taxes and fees can be done electronically, through the municipal website, at the citizen ATMs located in the Town Hall and in the Mayor’s offices of Los Boliches and El Boquetillo, in person, with a bank card, and also at the Post Office offices.

“Last December, the Local Government Board approved the fiscal calendar for the year 2026, which maintains the 5% bonus for prompt payment, 5% for having direct debit receipts and the two payment terms for IBI, garbage and vehicle taxes, 70% in the first and 30% in the second term,” said Bravo, who recalled that, “in order to obtain the 30% subsidy on said receipts we must meet the requirements of being registered in Fuengirola for at least one year, paying the first installment in a voluntary period and not having debts with the administration.”

In this way, the deadlines for taxes that have two expirations, that is, the Mechanical Traction Vehicle Tax (IVTM); The Environmental Waste Management (GEMER) and the Real Estate Tax (IBI) have a payment period that will last from May 6 to August 20 and, during this period, taxpayers will pay 70% of the value of the tax. The second installment, corresponding to the 30% that those who are not registered in the city or have not paid on time have to pay, is established from October 1 to December 18, 2026.

Regarding the taxes that are paid at once, the deadlines are as follows: the one for Markets must be paid from April 1 to May 29; that of Occupation of Public Roads (both for tables and chairs and for exhibitors), from May 6 to July 1; The Vehicle Entry Fee can be paid from May 6 to July 1; while the payment period for the Economic Activities Tax (IAE) will be from October 1 to December 18.

Regarding the 5% bonus period for prompt payment, the mayor has explained that in the case of the IVTM, IBI, GEMER, OVP and vehicle tax it will extend from April 1 to May 5, while in the case of the IAE it can be done from August 28 to September 28 and in the case of Markets, from January 5 to March 31.

Bravo has also commented that direct debit taxes will have the following periods: in the case of those that are paid in two installments, they are as follows: ITVM has the payment of the first installment on May 15, GEMER on June 4 and, in the case of IBI, on July 3. The second bill collection period will be October 16. In the case of taxes with a single deadline, the Markets deadline will be April 17; that of OVP, both tables and chairs and exhibitors, on May 8; The vehicle entry fee will be on May 15 and the IAE fee will be on October 16.

The head of the Treasury has encouraged all taxpayers to direct debit their receipts “for security, to avoid queues and because it is the most advantageous option, since those who do direct debit have an additional 5% discount.”

Bravo has provided a telephone number (952586000) and an email address (recavoluntaria@fuengirola.org) through which interested parties can contact to resolve any questions they may have.

To conclude, the councilor thanked “once again our neighbors for always paying their taxes on time, which means that the Fuengirola City Council has a high collection compliance, so thank you very much again to all the residents of Fuengirola for paying their taxes well.”
