Synopsis

The play Solvitur Ambundo takes us into the lives of two young Andalusian actresses who intend to put on their first play in Madrid. Stricken by precariousness, they put all their energy into releasing it within the agreed time frame so as not to have to return the scholarship they have been awarded, but along the path of autofiction they are surprised by elements from the past that they did not count on, and that make them both rethink their present and their future.

This work addresses several themes such as the construction of identity, own and collective memory, generational silence and the fact of being “granddaughters, daughters and young women” in addition to actresses.

In the words of the same authors “the work addresses the life of two actresses from Malaga. There is no better place to represent it than the city of one of us (Fuengirola). Representing our work in the House of Culture of Fuengirola is a unique opportunity to support local creation, attract a young and committed audience and enrich its cultural programming with a fresh, current proposal and with a strong potential for media impact. The work represents a genuine connection with youth and social realities contemporary, which reinforces the role of space as a cultural reference in the community. We start from the concept of autofiction, our intention is, in the words of Valle-Inclán, to be provincial to be universal. We start from the personal to narrate the collective.
