12/11/2025. The Paseo Marítimo Rey de España in Fuengirola, next to the Peseta Monument, will be the scene this coming Wednesday, December 17, starting at 10:00 a.m., of the world record attempt for the largest number of pizzas in a line. This was announced this morning by the Councilors for Citizen Participation and Commerce, Isabel Moreno and Francisco Javier García Lara, respectively, together with the main promoter of the event, the hospitality businessman Antonio Pucci, and the representative of the collaborating company Apoza, Fernando Vázquez, who have highlighted the solidarity nature of this initiative, which will allocate all the proceeds obtained to the Association of Children’s Oncology Volunteers AVOI.

In this sense, Isabel Moreno has highlighted the support that the Fuengirola City Council always offers “to all the solidarity initiatives proposed to us by the entities, groups or businessmen of the city, such as in this case, Antonio Pucci.”

For his part, García Lara has indicated that “it is an initiative organized by the Antonio Puzzi pizzeria, which is located on Marbella Street, and that is going to try to achieve a new world record: the most pizzas online. The challenge will be on December 17 on the Paseo Marítimo and we invite all residents to come and participate in solidarity in the event to collaborate with the AVOI association.”

Antonio Puzzi thanked the event’s collaborators and sponsors for their support and explained that “we are going to try to beat the world record for the most pizzas online and to achieve this we want to reach 2,100 pizzas. To do this, 30 pizza makers are going to participate and we are going to use 5 ovens. I hope that enough people come to enjoy this very particular event.”

To conclude, Fernando Vázquez has pointed out that “from the Apoza company we are going to collaborate to try to beat this Guinness record, which is a total of 2,049 pizzas, and we are going to try to surpass it by making 2,100 pizzas. It will be on Wednesday, December 17, starting at ten in the morning, in the area around the Peseta Monument on the Paseo Marítimo de Los Boliches and we will have 700 linear meters where we will make 2,100 pizzas or more that will go to benefit the AVOI association. We hope to have a lot of attendance because all the proceeds will go directly to them.”
