The application period for the operation of seven ice cream kiosks on the Paseo Marítimo is open

10/12/2025 -The Councilor for Occupation of Public Roads of Fuengirola, Francisco Javier García Lara, reported this morning of the opening of the application period for the operation of seven kiosks selling ice cream and sweets on the Paseo Marítimo.

“We inform the neighbors that the deadline is now open to submit the application and be eligible to be awarded one of the ice cream kiosks that we installed on the Paseo Marítimo during the summer season,” explained García Lara, pointing out that “every year we receive quite a few applications and we want to remember that the deadline will be open throughout the month of December until January 15, 2026.”

Applications can be downloaded from the Electronic Office of the municipal website and can also be submitted this way once completed. “The locations will be awarded once the application submission period ends, the ice cream makers set up the kiosks and we register the electricity contracts and they will be able to be open until September 30, 2026 selling ice cream and sweets,” he indicated.

“People who submit the application must meet a series of requirements: be registered in Fuengirola, present a food handler’s card and a responsible declaration to guarantee that they will be registered with Social Security and that they will comply with the Treasury obligations,” the councilor detailed. The evaluation of the different applications will be carried out by the Department of Social Services, which will give priority to people with limited resources when awarding them.

To conclude, García Lara has encouraged “those people who are interested to submit the application and if they have any questions they can consult them at the Public Roads department of the Fuengirola City Council.”
