The City Council promotes the work of the associative fabric and volunteers of Fuengirola with a new edition of the Solidarity Rake

It will be held from November 14 to 16 and 16 Fuengirola associations will participate, who will publicize their work and sell products at affordable prices to raise funds

11/12/2025 – The Fuengirola City Council, through the area of Families, Equality and Social Welfare coordinated by the councilor Cristina Bornao, promotes the city’s associative fabric and volunteering with the eighteenth edition of the Solidarity Rake, which this year will have the participation of 16 local associations, which will be able to sell artisanal and second-hand products at affordable prices to obtain funds that help them maintain the important social work they carry out for the benefit of the Fuengirolans. It will take place this weekend in the Plaza de la Constitución, from Friday the 14th to Sunday the 16th of November.

“Today we present one of the most beloved activities, for us and for all the citizens of Fuengirola, which is our Solidarity Rake, which reaches its nineteenth edition this year and is already a classic event in our town,” explained Bornao, pointing out that the event will take place on November 14, 15 and 16, in the Plaza de la Constitución, “thanks to the magnificent work of the associative fabric of our municipality and the volunteers, as well as the collaboration of companies and entities and, above all, of citizens, who increase their participation in this activity every year.”

In this sense, the councilor highlighted that “this year the flea market has the participation of sixteen associations, plus about 50 volunteers.” The associations participating on this occasion are the following: Adintre, AECC, AFA, Afesol, Amisol, Apaffer, Avates, Avoi, Cáritas, Cooperación Honduras, ONCE, Mujeres en Igualdad, Fuensocial, Mejor en Familia “and two entities that are joining this year: El Faro de la Escucha and the Association of Parkinson’s Patients Fuenmijas,” Bornao pointed out.

It is an initiative through which it seeks, on the one hand, to publicize the work carried out daily by the different social and welfare associations of the associative fabric that exists in Fuengirola, and on the other, to raise funds and be able to continue with their work and with the various activities they carry out, as well as to recruit volunteers.

“I take this opportunity to invite the people of Fuengirola to come to the Plaza de la Constitución during these days, to collaborate with the work carried out by each of the associations, because they carry out great work for the benefit of all,” said Bornao, who wanted to thank the involvement and work that all these social entities carry out in Fuengirola.
